FAQ Frequently Asked Questions Home | FAQ page We’ve worked with all kinds of parishes and teams to run ChristLife. What question can we answer for you? If you don’t see it here, ask us directly through our contact form. What is ChristLife? ChristLife is a three-step relational evangelization process. It consists of three courses: Discovering Christ, Following Christ, and Sharing Christ. Parishes around the United States and beyond have been using it since 2009 to evangelize and form missionary disciples. Who is ChristLife for? Anyone and everyone, Catholic or non-Catholic, who is wondering about the meaning of their life, seeking a personal relationship with Christ, and/or wants to grow as a disciple of the Lord. Will ChristLife help our parish evangelize inactive Catholics and the unbaptized? Yes! It all begins with equipping faithful parishioners with the vision and tools to reach out and personally invite the nominal, inactive, and unevangelized to Discovering Christ. My parish wants to begin using ChristLife. How do I get started? The best way to get started with ChristLife is by attending a training conference. But there are a few practical first steps before that, which we outline on How to Run ChristLife. How involved should the pastor be in the ChristLife Process? ChristLife was designed to be a lay-led initiative at the parish. The pastor’s main role is to enthusiastically support ChristLife as a parish evangelization initiative and encourage parishioners to attend. What is the age range for ChristLife? The ChristLife Process was designed primarily for adults, 18 years and older. However, parishes have effectively adapted the courses for both children and teens. What is the recommended schedule for offering the ChristLife Process? Ideally the courses in the ChristLife Process should be run close together. Our recommendation is to have one or two months between each course. We find most parishes follow the school year schedule, taking the summer off. A sample schedule is: Discovering Christ runs October through November; Following Christ runs January through February; Sharing Christ runs April through May. When planning your courses, it’s important to work with your parish office to ensure space is available and that your courses do not conflict with existing parish activities. My parish ran ChristLife. What should we do next? Do it again! Ideally parishes make the ChristLife Process the core curriculum for evangelization and discipleship. This means including ChristLife in the annual calendar. Encourage “graduates” of the ChristLife Process to become team members and evangelizers by starting over again with Discovering Christ. Many parishes also decide to offer small groups for those who have gone through ChristLife. Visit our Small Groups section for a few suggestions. START TODAY Ready to Take the First Step?
