Over 600 parishes in 76 dioceses have utilized the ChristLife series, a proven method of evangelization and outreach, and experienced transformation and new vibrancy in the life of the parish.

The Catholic Accent wrote about several parishes experiencing transformation with the ChristLife series in the Diocese of Greensburg, including St. John the Baptist Parish in Perryopolis, Blessed Sacrament Cathedral Parish in Greensburg, and St. Agnes Parish in North Huntingdon.

Parishes that have been participating in the ChristLife evangelization model are beginning to reap its benefits, according to Greg Petrucci, director of evangelization.

“Parishes are seeing a rise in volunteerism and people returning to reconciliation,” he said.

At a June meeting in Latrobe of approximately 65 ChristLife core team members from 14 parishes, the majority of the leaders said they are happy with its success and plan to continue using the model, Petrucci said.

Approximately 2,300 people in the diocese have participated in at least one of the three ChristLife segments — Discovering Christ, Following Christ and Sharing Christ — and approximately 1,500 have participated in all three sessions, Petrucci said.

“Parishes are getting some people back who have been away for a while because people have asked them back, which is the focus of the third segment [Sharing Christ],” he said.

Petrucci said the overall goal of a parish evangelization effort is to change hearts and help people “develop a relationship with the Lord.”
