This is a historic week for Catholics in the United States. The 8th World Meeting of Families is being hosted in Philadelphia, PA and Pope Francis is making his first United States Papal Visit.

Rome hosted the first World Meeting of Families in 1994. Since then, every three years, the Pope invites families from around the world to gather together, pray, and look at how they can strengthen the sacred bonds of the family unit across the globe. This year, the United States is hosting this global event in the Archdiocese of Philadelphia.

ChristLife is excited to join the Archdiocese of Philadelphia's Office for the New Evangelization at the 8th World Meeting of Families September 22-25, 2015. Our team will be available to talk and pray with anyone interested in exploring a relationship with the Lord and discovering more about the Catholic faith. What an honor to represent the new evangelization in this way!

This Wednesday, September 23, Pope Francis will celebrate a canonization Mass in Washington DC. He will canonize Blessed Junipero Serra, a Spanish-born Franciscan Friar known for starting nine Spanish missions in California in the 1700s. ChristLife will be present at this historic Mass—the first canonization on United States soil.

We pray the Lord would be glorified and made known in many hearts through the events of this week. Come, Lord Jesus.

We will share updates and thoughts with you through both events. Follow along with us on social media: Twitter and Facebook.
