I hope you are well today! Fridays are days the universal Church calls us to turn our hearts more fully to Jesus to remember and cooperate in His sufferings. This Friday especially we turn our hearts to our brothers and sisters in Haiti to "weep with those who weep" (Rom 12:15).
Today, I came across a neat initiative called Fast for Haiti. It encourages us to give up a meal or two, pray, and donate to Haiti. Jesus have mercy on Haiti.
Also, I want to remind you about this Sunday's mass of thanksgiving. 2:30pm at Our Lady of Perpetual Help, Ellicott City, MD. Hopefully by Sunday some of us will be thankful for a certain team to win in the playoffs. Ha, we have bigger things to be thankful for... right? :)
But, seriously, we at ChristLife are really excited to celebrate mass with you guys to thank the Lord Jesus for His goodness to us. If you haven't yet, let us know you are coming.
The collection at the mass will be taken up for the ministry of ChristLife and to support the spread of the Gospel through Discovering Christ.
Following the mass we'll have fellowship and refreshments. Check the potluck list if you signed up to bring something. We do need a few more people to bring desserts and appetizers. If you can bring something (and you haven't signed up for it online), let me know by replying to this email.
In thanksgiving for you and that the weekend is rapidly approaching :)
Blessings,
